I was born in the city of Porto, Portugal, on September 10, 1983. From an early age, I developed a deep and dedicated passion for the field of nutrition.

My professional journey is marked by achievements and dedication to my job. I became a full member of the Order of Nutritionists in March 2022, after completing my bachelor’s degree at the Catholic University of Portugal. I am currently a master in Clinical Nutrition at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Porto, and I am also a researcher at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto, with Science ID: F71A-459D-ABDD and ORCID iD: 0000-0001-6023-9126.

My professional path has been diverse, including clinical and sports nutrition. I completed internships at renowned institutions, including the World Health Organization, Boavista Football Club, and the Clinical Sports Center of Dragão Espregueira Mendes – a FIFA Medical Center of Excellence.

During the 2022/2023 sports season as a nutritionist at Famalicão Football Club, I improved the athletes’ dietary quality, introduced supplementation, defined strategies to deal with training demands, pre-, during, and post-game, documented changes in body composition, produced educational materials, and expanded the team’s literacy. I also identified cost containment measures in various areas.

Throughout my journey, I had the opportunity to improve in various areas essential to my professional practice. Among these, I highlight my training in High-Performance Sports Psychology, obtained from the Barcelona Football Club Academy, where I learned to work on principles of mental discipline, concentration ability, and individual attitudinal development, to name just a few of these skills. Therefore, I can provide a set of tools that go beyond conventional nutrition. In fact, even from a strictly nutritional standpoint, my training in Nutrition & Health in Female Athletes allows me to bring a highly updated scientific perspective to the teams I work with. This experience has strengthened my knowledge in leadership and my interpersonal relationships, complementing my solid foundation in anthropometry (ISAK certification – level 2).

All these specific skills, combined with my dedication and focus, and the fact that I was once an athlete myself, allow me an additional sensitivity and a fundamental role in the success of my work. I believe that, through proper nutrition and psychological support, it is possible to transform people’s lives, enabling them to achieve their maximum well-being and quality of life.
